Alien game tournament

A while ago I had an idea for running a game tournament. All the games would be new games, and would not be released to the players until the day of the tournament. As they would all be new games, it would be like entering a gaming tournament in an alien culture. Something like The Player of Games by Iain Banks.

I mentioned this idea to </a>jarratt_gray and he thought it sounded cool, and doable. So we, and a couple of others have been busy working on games for such an event. It has been a lot of fun, and it is amazing how much creative energy you get when people collaborate on a project. We are going with a general theme of "floating cities". The theme comes from a RPG I ran a while ago, also Dillon is planning the grand strategy for next years Buckets of Dice based on floating cities (he was also a player in the floating cities campaign).

The last week less time has been spent on it, as I have been very ill, and others have had work commitments. I am hoping to get the momentum going again, as we have already produced some very good stuff, and I think we could have a tournament ready to go for sometime earlyish next year. We'd need at least 12 players.
